Bloodlands in Sword & Shield Simulator

The harsher road out of Danburg — more scrap, more story, and the same cart that still cannot carry everything.

Bloodlands

Bloodlands is one of the three regions Wildlands Interactive lists for the current Early Access build, alongside Danburg and Grainmill. The name tells you the tone: this is not the market street. It is the war’s leftover geography. This page will not invent a boss list. It will tell you how to arrive without stranding the cart, and what to haul once you are there.

Read How to Travel Regions before you treat a loading screen as a promise. Read Danburg until the home forge is automatic. Read How to Get Materials so a red field does not turn into two sad bars.

Why the region exists

The loop needs new scrap, new timber, new contracts, and story missions that are not all in one town. Bloodlands is that pressure. If you come here with no coal and no spare blade, you are sightseeing. Come with a keeper sword, a repairable cart, and a save in Danburg you can swallow losing.

Player reports about paying a weapon-and-armour tribute to leave the start may apply on the way in. Confirm in your UI. If the quest marker points here and your wheels will not turn, that is the stuck-battlefield bug, not a Bloodlands puzzle. Performance and Bugs first.

What to gather

Expect denser salvage and less patience from the terrain. The smelter still wants weight. The cart priority tool still wins. Cupronickel rumours belong to “outside the city” in general, not a pin on this page. Mine if you see a vein. Do not clip for one.

Hunting in a region named Bloodlands sounds on-theme. Carcass bugs do not care about theme. Skip hunting unless a local quest is explicit — then read hunting. The Day One Patch added quest markers here, rewards for side quests, more arrows for the shooting-range side quest, and updated guard paths. If a range ran dry on 11 August, update before you craft a fantasy quiver. Guards that used to jail you for a cart clip should now talk first.

Story without a spoiler dump

Missions continue the wartime thread and the people who survive it. NPCs still matter. AI voices still grate. Mute them and read. You are here to feed the sword designer and to push the Richard hook forward, not to 100% a checklist that the studio has not published.

When you can return, use shrines only after you know whether return trips cost again. Keep one spare masterpiece in Danburg. Bloodlands is a bad place to discover you sold the only gate-quality blade.

Leave when the cart is heavy and the save is fresh. Grainmill is the other named sibling, not a suburb. The Map Hub keeps the three in one glance. The roadmap is where Talstein waits. Bloodlands is enough war for one evening if the anvil at home still has coal.

Combat fantasy versus smith fantasy

The name Bloodlands makes people expect fights. The product is still a forge sim. You may see wreckage, not a raid. Do not come here looking for a skill tree of war cries. Come for scrap and story flags. If a future patch adds a real battlefield combat layer, this page will say so. Today, your weapon is the cart and the smelter. Danburg remains the shop. How to Forge remains the skill. Bloodlands is a supply run with worse lighting. Treat it with that respect and you will bring metal home. Treat it like an action game and you will bring a stuck wagon home.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Bloodlands optional?

Story missions run across three regions. You can linger in Danburg, but the listed content includes Bloodlands.

What should I bring?

A spare keeper sword, coal, cart space, and a Danburg save. Do not arrive empty.

Is there a Bloodlands boss?

No official public boss list for this region. A bastion fight is described for future Talstein content.

Can I live here without going back?

The forge in Danburg is still the production core. Treat Bloodlands as a run, not a new house.
